The Story of the Suitcase
The battered orange suitcase which serves as inspiration for this blog was recently donated to a young exchange student from Marseille who had cavalierly underestimated the amount of possessions needed to comfortably assimilate into a new country. When the time came for the student to return to France, she found she had no means of transporting her collection of necessities home, thus the battered suitcase was called into action for its final voyage.
The suitcase was ceremoniously and appropriately retired upon arrival at its new home, where it undoubtedly enjoys the scenic vistas and the fresh salt air of the Mediterranean.
A new orange suitcase awaits its first journey with a proud sense of tradition, the exuberance of youth and reinforced corner edges and bottom.
